Clubfoot Discussion Community

I just found this community this morning. I just started working a part time job and it's killing my feet!! I have to be on my feet for 6-8 hours a day for about 5 days a week. When I get home I just collapse. Yesterday I worked my first 8 hour day and I almost had to crawl out of bed this morning to get ready for work again. Does anyone know of anything that can help with the pain? So, if anyone has any tips that would be fantastic.

I too was born with bilateral club feet. I have had 8 surgeries and multiple "special shoes" and splints, also castings.
I am in pain every day. I am 43 now, and wondering if there is something out there that I have not heard about that could help. I am searching for clinics or experimental things that may help the pain. I work in an imaging center and our Radiologists have told me after seeing an mri of my feet that he does not know how I walk at all, but we just mangage somehow because we have to don't we?
I can't believe you don't take anything for pain. I take Mobic 15mg and Ultram. Mobic once a day, Ultram, 2 tabs every 4-6 hours as needed. And I take tylenol on top of that if I am really bad.
I have crawled to the bathroom many times. Please, go see a dr and see what he can give you. Or, get aleve over the counter and try that, it may be enough for you right now. It sounds like you are able to stand quite a while considering. I am very limited on walking, if I overdo, I can't walk without severe pain for several days to follow.
Let me know if I can help you, sometimes just knowing your not alone helps. I never knew this was out there.
Take care,
